My personal and teaching approach to yoga is
inspired by the teachings of TK Krishnamacharya
and his son TKV Desikachar. This style of yoga was
formerly known as ‘Viniyoga’. The teachings help to make yoga relevant to everyone at whatever stage in life.
My personal journey began in 1990 when I joined a local yoga class in Southampton. I have never looked back. Yoga has been the one constant in my life since that time. I started teaching in 1999. I completed a 4 year teacher training practitioner programme with Paul Harvey in 2004 and have recently completed a 2 year Further Studies programme also with Paul. In 2005 I visited Chennai and studied at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram which deepened my understanding of yoga as a therapy.
I hold a British wheel of Yoga Accredited Diploma, am an AYS (Association for Yoga Studies) registered practitioner and recently elected Director of AYS. I have also trained in Usui Reiki second degree.
